So I am going to get a little mushy on everyone that follows this blog. If you have known me for any length of time it is possible that I have come across arrogant or selfish. Some of you will know me as caring and compassionate. Honestly it doesn't really matter how you view a person as long as they hold strong to there beliefs. Family has always been a real strong focus in my life. Tonight I watched a different kind of family come together. If you haven't seen this story you should check it out. A young man in Michigan collapsed on the floor after hitting the game winning shot in the last game of the basketball season. Sad moment, the young mans heart simply gave out. These times are the ones that try a persons soul. What is impressive about the situation is the how the family, not the immediate, but the high school basketball family rallied to support the team. Sports is an amazing thing, I feel sorry for people who were not athletes and will never understand the camaraderie that comes with it. This evening the team that lost there star player celebrated his life by continuing to play. It wasn't for greed or self indulged hype, but for the love of the game. To celebrate a fallen brother and friend. It doesn't matter how you view life but remember one simple thing, family is the tie that binds and will be there in the most difficult of times. My hope is that all of you take the time to read this story and that it gives perspective.
